Prayer Request: Pastor, on Tuesday, July 3rd, you asked the congregation to sow a seed of $7 or $77. I had already written my check for $10 for my offering, but i was obedient and wrote another check for $7. You told us to believe that God was going to do something magnificent in our lives and to share it with you when it happened. Well, again, that was on July 3rd. On Thursday, July 5th, when i got home from work, a temporary agency had called and left a message on my answering machine telling me about a job opportunity in Spartanburg. well, because it's in Spartanburg, i didn't return the call. they called me back on the following monday. i still didn't return the call. so on tuesday, they called me on my cell at work and got me on the phone. i told them i wasn't interested working in spartanburg; but they told me if it were worth my while, would i at least talk to the human resource manager, so i agreed. Long story short: they offered me a job as Accounts Payable Manager making $10,000 more than what i'm making now!!!!! And in a few years, I could possibly become Controller when she retires because she is looking for a replacement in her "new hire". And plus, they will send me back to school to get my Masters degree and reimburse me 90%. And there are a lot of other perks that are too many to name!! God is so awesome!!! The amazing thing about the whole thing is this: I was not even looking for a job!! The temporary agency had my resume on file since 2004 and just found me a match!!! God really does work in His own timing!! On last Wednesday, First Lady Anita came to me after service and told me about a dream she had about me and told me that whatever it is I'm waiting for, God is going to grant it to me. The company made their offer to me on Friday!! I heard Elder Todd say once that he thanks you for the opportunity to give. Well, I thank you for the opportunity to give as well because I've learned so much from your teaching and really believe in Luke 6:38. I really do believe! that God has nothing but great things in store for me in 2007 and I'm expecting great things to happen. Until then, I will continue to be obedient and pay my tithes and offerings, because like they say in the old church: You can't beat God's Giving!!! - April
